I am not sure if anyone is keeping up on the medical issue but there have been some good signs. Federal policy nolonger overrides the state policy on medical. Many people are starting to speek out in support, or in more cases they cant find a reason to not have medical. The news is talking about it, and it has become a mainstream issue. Times seem to be changing. _________________ our political compass Economic Left/Right: -7.00 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.95 |

Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but federal law always supercedes state law. _________________ Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable. -- JFK |

Well that the change. Federal policy is to respect state approved medical laws. As long as the state laws are followed the feds will not bother. _________________ our political compass Economic Left/Right: -7.00 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.95 |

I've found a lot of drug laws tend to go up in smoke, not because of actual policy change but just because cops can't be bothered flooding their superiors with thousands of pointless non-violent user arrests. Vancouver's the same here, it's illegal but the cops have a general "look the other way" policy.
A lot like curfew laws here, technically kids under 16 (I think, maybe 1 aren't supposed to be on the street after about 10 (again, I could be off on that by an hour or so). The only time the charge pops up though is as an addition to other charges...they won't charge a kid just for being outside, but a kid who steals a car and goes joyriding and gets caught after curfew will have the charge thrown on just to cause them grief at times. _________________ *+_Charos_+*
