Best Tegan and Sara review ever!
I was watching Conan O’Brien the other night, trying to fall asleep, when these two girls with $200 haircuts that looked like designer swim caps started playing guitars and chirping some awful tweeish indie rock. No big deal, I thought, it’s just another pair of dolts with a gimmick who both play the exact same chords throughout the entire song because they’re not really musicians. I asked my girlfriend if she knew who they were and she said, “Oh yeah, that’s Tegan and Sara.” To which I replied: “Where are the tap shoes?” She just looked at me like she normally does when I say something completely inappropriate. I just turned off the TV and went to bed. The next morning I woke up with sleep in my eyes and those two nu-dykes stuck in my head. WHERE ARE THE TAP SHOES? I was certain I was correct, but a quick Wikipedia search had nary a mention of Gregory Hines or Ann Miller’s influence on their awful music. I’m still confused by it all. I mean, Tegan and Sara? It sounds like they should be doing f*** cramprolls and shuffle hops to an audience of severely wrinkled people. Am I the only person who thinks this? Please tell me someone out there made the same mistake. And yes, I now realize I was confusing them with Tilly & the Wall. Whatever. Same shit, different emo hairdresser.

LMAO @ the swimming cap haircuts. That's hilarious.
I've heard a few songs, they're okay. I don't really see what the big fuss is about them to be honest.
Close your eyes and imagine how many lesbians are scissoring to their music as we speak.

the only thing i can remember from their new album is "sensitive, it's true, i cried alligator tears over you~" because, gotdamn, that is just awful.
and that pic should be the ~deluxe edition~ cd cover, definitely.

I went through the Tegan and Sara phase, I absolutely loved them.
Always wanted to see them in concert but their tickets sold out in like a day.
It was ridiculous.
I'm over it.
I'll listen to them every now and then.
Their new album...eh. not so much.
And the mullet thing bothers me, some hype where all the dykes of the world decided that mullets were okay.
let's clear that up.

haha srsly, i don't know what's worse, the t&s-inspired mullet or a fauxhawk.

but my sister LOVES t&s. from start to finish, she knows the con. hearing a five year old sing along to "SOS TO MY MOTHER TAKE THE HINGES OFF THE DOOR" is pretty damn funny, ngl. but not nearly as funny as when she ~busts~ out with "i'm a big timer, it's a bamboo banga!", haha.

oh yeah, well I'm not gonna lie. I definitely participated in that stupidness.
I couldn't pull my hair back for months because the top layers were too short.
Finally I had to cut all my hair to match the short layers just so I wouldn't have a mullet anymore. But then I looked like a boi.
I'm so anti-dyke, I seriously cried when I cut my hair short. It's taken about 8 months to grow out again, but I'm wayy happier with it long.

OMG I know, I met her walking around Coachella. She was on the phone and I started walking with my arm around her while my friends snapped photos.
She laughed and told her friend to hold on.. and she actually started posing with me for a few minutes while everyone tried getting their cameras to work.
I was so glad she wasnt a bitch, because I would hate to think someone in my favorite band was a c***.
